- The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) contemplates an award through Sealed Bid Procedures for Elevator Maintenance and Service at the Roybal Campus, 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia. The NAICS code is 811310. This procurement is restricted to SMALL BUSINESS. The small business size standard is $6 million. The period of performance will be for one (1) twelve month Base Period and four (4) twelve month Option Renewal Periods. Service of the elevators shall include all labor, parts, materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain six (6) Otis Traction Elevators plus two (2) Otis Hydraulic Elevators and seven (7) Westinghouse Traction Elevators plus two (2) Westinghouse Traction Elevators retrofitted with Montgomery/Kone Controls. It should be noted that the elevators are 40 to 45 years old. No upgrading has been accomplished on the elevators with the exception of Elevators 1 and 2. The contractor shall expect numerous calls to restore service. Elevators 3 and 4 may be temporarily removed from the contract while they are being renovated and will therefore not require servicing at that time. As a result, contractor shall anticipate reductions in monthly rate for service and adjustments shall be made to invoicing to reflect the reductions. A site visit will be scheduled and further detailed information will be posted in the solicitation, 2002-B-00351. All contractors interested in obtaining this solicitation will be able to download at www.eps.gov on or about July 15, 2002 or sooner. A very limited number of hard copies may be available on a first-come-first-serve basis, until the supply is exhausted. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bid Opening is scheduled for August 14, 2002, at 2:00 PM (EST).
