- Description
- U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, intends to issue a sole source purchase order with American Bureau of Shipbuilding to survey the USCGC EAGLE?s internal and external hull, and bring the hull into compliance with ABS Rules. In addition they will survey the vessel to determine what modifications are required to bring the vessel into compliance with MARPOL regulations for pollution, and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulations for safety. The American Bureau of Shipbuilding is the only known company that has the expertise to perform this service. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
