Description

The Government of the United State of America requires Health Insurance coverage for its locally employed staff in Kosovo. The insurance plan should provide a Base plan for basic coverage and Optional plans to provide extended benefits to Mission employees. At minimum, the basic insurance plan should cover the following under the Base plan: 1. Hospitalization and Surgery (100% Reimbursable), 2.Doctor Fees (80% Reimbursable), 3. Doctor's Fees for Psychiatrist and Psychologist (50% Reimbursable), 4. Prescription Drugs (80 Reimbursable), 5. Optical Service(50% Reimbursable), 6. Expenses Incurred Out-of-Country(same as in Country), 7. Dental Plan (80 Reimbursable) , 8. Emergency Medical Transportation and Evacuation (100% Reimbursable), 9. Hearing Aid expenses, 10.Other condition and exclusions.The base period of performance shall be of one year with two one-year options to renew. The solicitation will be issued as commercial item procurement in accordance with FAR part 12 and in accordance with Far Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation will be available on or after July 18, 2002, and will be distributed through General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The estimated closing date of the solicitation is August 6, 2002.
