Description
This is a sources sought notice. The 56th Fighter Wing Base Chapel has the following recurring requirement on a part time basis: LUKE AFB 1100 TRADITIONAL PROTESTANT MUSIC DIRECTOR 1. Duties And Responsibilities: The Music Director will: a. Recruit, organize, and prepare a choir for the 1100 Traditional Worship service. b. Able to lead congregational singing as requested by Service chaplain. c. Schedule facility needs with NCOIC or Chaplain Assistant. d. Attend annual Parish Advisory Council planning retreat to prepare yearly schedule of events. e. Plan annual Choir Retreats to enhance choir?s presentations. f. Meet monthly with Service chaplain to review plans for worship and address choir?s needs. g. Not exceed 110 annual units. Two units will be authorized each week ? 1 performance, 1 rehearsal. h. Arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to the start of the service. i. Assist in other musical programs performed within the Protestant parish. j. Be neatly attired, well groomed , and act in a professional manner. 2. Qualifications: The Senior Protestant Chaplain will conduct an interview and an audition. Requirements are individuals with Bachelor of Arts degree or current work towards such degree; minimum of 2 years experience; able to provide musical instruction in reading music to volunteer choir members. 3. Equipment/Supplies: Requirements for music supplies will be submitted in writing (Fund requests Forms) to the chaplain responsible for the service at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the required date. Contractor will also prepare an annual budget for such supplies and equipment. 4. Security Of Facility: The contractor will ensure after each rehearsal the area used is returned to its original condition and that the facility is properly secured. For each weekend worship service he/she needs only to ensure the area used is neat and returned to its original condition.
