- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. FHQ02R00277 is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. The North American Industrial Classification code is 421430 and a size standard of 100 employees. The Department of the Treasury (FMS), 401 14th Street, SW, Washington, DC, 20227, intends to award a purchase order for Thales Datacryptor 2000 units, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures and provisions and clauses for Commercial Items for this acquisition. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, is applicable to this acquisition and is hereby incorporated by reference. The government will award a commercial item purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. The award will be made to the offeror who provides the best value to the Government. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this request for quote as found in the attachment. Interested offerors are required to complete the attached pricing information, certifications and representations, and ACH form. Offers are to be received no later than 3:00pm Eastern Standard Time on March 26, 2002. Offers completed package that includes line item pricing, certifications and representations, and ACH form must be faxed to Patrick N. Robertson at (202) 874-7275.
