Description

NA The work consists of dredging approximately 300,000 cubic yards, comprised of maintenance material, to required depth of 46 feet below Mean Low Tide and 2 feet allowable over depth for the navigation channel; and required depth of 30 feet and 2 feet allowa ble over depth. Material will be deposited in a designated beach nourishment area. There will be no levee work. Estimated cost range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAIICS) Code applicable to this proj ect is 234990. The Small Business Size Standard is 28.5 Million and will be advertised UNRESTRICTED. The Galveston District subcontracting goals are: Small, Business, 61.4%; Small Disadvantages Business, 9.1%; Women-Owned Small Business 5.0%; Veteran-Ow ned Small Business 3.0%; Hub Zone Small Business 3.0%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%. Bid Opening will be held in room 175. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor’s responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or issuance at the following Internet address: http://swg.usace.army.mil/ct. Bidders shall register themselves on the Internet to receive a copy of this solicitation (CD-ROM). NO EXPRESS MAIL PROCEDURES WILL BE U TILIZED ON INITIAL MAILING OF THE CD.
