Description

The Marine Corps Air Station, Supply Directorate, Cherry Point, NC intends to procure a turnkey installation/replacement, which includes removal, design, manufacture, testing, delivery, and installation of a new Ingersoll-Rand 1500 HP centrifugal compressor air end (M/N 2CH40M3, S/N M80-1920) and other accessories (replace intake air filter housing and filters, replace condensate traps, install condensate trap monitoring system, and replace existing pneumatic control panel with new digital controls). The centrifugal compressor air end and the other accesories to be installed shall be current manufacturer parts; no remanufactured or refurbished parts will be accepted. The Government intends to solicit Ingersoll-Rand, Co., 712 Melrose Ave., Nashville, TN 37211 on a sole sources basis for this acquisition, Ingersoll Rand, the original manufacturer of the 1500 HP Centrifugal Air Compressor, has proprietary rights to the technical data for the design of the air compressor; therefore, no other source can provide a turnkey replacement of the air end and accessories.
