Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement for a contractor to design, develop, fabricate and test a new B737-800, Level D, Advanced Digital Full Flight Simulator. The simulator will be installed in facilities located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that is currently occupied by a CAE B727-200, Level C Simulator. Optional related Data, Support Equipment, Spares, Training, etc. may also be purchased depending on the availability of funds. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price type with time-and-material provisions. The NAICS code is 333319. Closing date for receipt of proposals is August 16, 2002. Only written responses will be accepted. The entire proposal package contains the SIR (56 pages), a Statement of Work (160 pages) and nine other attachments (191 total additional pages). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
