Description

NAVAIR Lakehurst is planning to hold an airshow from May 30 to June 1, 2003. The previous air show in 2001 drew over 400,000 people and featured the Blue Angels. In support of the airshow, the Naval Air Engineering Station contemplates awarding several contracts for show support in the following areas: Promotion/ Marketing including sponsorships, advertising, booking acts, in kind contributions, advertising, programs, etc. Site operations including concessions, vendors, on site transport, volunteer coordination, flight suit party, cash management, etc. Air Boss would include sound system, snow fencing, mobile tower, PA announcer, etc. The number of contracts and the activities included in each will be finalized after the site visit NAES will host a pre solicitation conference and site visit at Lakehurst on Tuesday, June 4, 2002. Potential contractors will have an opportunity to visit the site and get an overview of the preliminary plans for the airshow. Interested firms should reply by email to make arrangements for entry to the base and attendance at the conference.
