For your information the original notice is as follows: The United States Department of Labor has a requirement in support of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This requirement is to provide for National Longitudinal Surveys (NLS) to obtain information on people?s response to changes in the broader economy and how they make transitions through various stages of their lives. The resulting contract will be a cost reimbursement contract. During the performance of this contract, information will be collected on topics that influence or are influenced by labor market behavior. The content of the surveys will emphasize the behavior of individuals, but information will also be collected on aptitude and attitudes. BLS expects the Contractor to emphasize methodological concerns regarding all aspects of the surveys, particularly those concerns that are unique to longitudinal data. A program of methodological research to examine critical issues will be supported by BLS as an integral part of the NLS program. The period of performance of the proposed contract is anticipated to encompass one base period plus two additional option periods. The current contract numbers are J-9-J-9-0007, and J-9-J-9-0029.
