Description

United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) seeks to lease 47 additional, new Air Combat Training (ACT) pods for the USAFE Rangeless Interim Training System (URITS). URITS was developed specifically for USAFE. URITS is a derivative of the Range Application Program system called the Metrics Autonomous ACTS, made by Metric Systems Corporation. The lease shall be for 5 years with an option to purchase the new pods at the end of the lease. The new pods shall be fully compatible with the existing URITS, including hardware and software interfaces such as the Data Transfer Devices (DTDs) and Datalink capability. Furthermore, the new pods shall also have system Certification and Accreditation mandated by the Chief Staff of the Air Force. In addition, the contractor shall provide contractor logistics support for the new pods for 5 years and the existing URITS assets for three years.
