- NA This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819; small business size standard 1,000 employees. The acid shall be water white to a straw yellow color, clean and free of suspended matter, contain 25% acid with a specific gravity of 1.2235, 26.5% Baume at 17.5 degrees centigrade, shall not contain more than 0.0020% heavy metals expressed as lead and no other soluble mineral organic subs tances in quantities capable of deleterious or injuries effect upon health of those consuming water that has been treated properly with the acid. The acid shall meet all the standards of the AWWA B700-89 specification and the National Sanitation Foundatio n’s (NSF’s) Standard No. 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals-Health Effects. Total estimated quantity delivered over the course of the contract is 1,300 tons. Contract is for a one year period beginning 1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. Th e total estimated amount is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.0-0. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. Th is solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors’ requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing list by going to the website: https://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. I n order to reduce the possibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you all deliveries, packages, etc. must include the name of the particular contract specialist for the particular project. All deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Feder al contract. For information regarding future registration, contact CCR Web site at http:/ccr2000.com . Other information regarding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. A paper form for registration may be obtained from the DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/ subcontractors.
