- Description
- Deliver F.O. B. Origin, fully inscribed 12" x 24" x 3" T flat granite markers (Type J1) during the period October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 (Base year) with two 1-year options to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2005. Granite must be obtained from quarries within the United States of America; conform to the definition of granite as defined in ASTM C-119-01; be standard grade, fine grained material as classified by the National Building Granite Quarries Association; and, have a uniform shade of light gray as defined in the specifications. This solicitation does not include uninscribed markers. Estimated quantities are 13,000 per year for the base year and each option year. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 327991 and a size standard of 500 employees are applicable. Requests for a hard copy of the solicitation must be in writing to Mrs. Janice E. Corlew, Contracting Officer, and accompanied by a certified check or money order in the amount of Fifty dollars ($50.00) (non-refundable), payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." Please reference Solicitation Number IFB 786-02-03 on remittances. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Hard copy solicitations will be issued via the ordinary mails on or about July 22, 2002. The solicitation may also be obtained FREE OF CHARGE, from VA'S Business Opportunities System via the Internet at the following URL address on or about July 22, 2002: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/solicitation?number=786-02-03. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Bidders are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
