- Description
- DSS-OV currently has Video Production, Photo, and Documents. Raw video footage, Photo and Documents are created and produced into finished productions and stored on master video tapes. Beta video tapes have a life span of twelve to fifteen years. The master videos we currently have are at more than half of there life cycle now. DSS-OV will need to convert all of the master?s and training video to DVD in order to preserve the information on them. DSS-OV would like to purchase a DVD conversion system. This system will be used to convert all of the video tape DSS-OV currently has like the master tapes, production tapes, Training tapes both beta and VHS video tapes. We also need to simultaneously convert to AVI files to be used on the AVID nonlinear editing system; this can be done on CD or DVD so the system will need to output to DVD, CD, beta, and VHS the input will be done from a beta deck 1800. This will be an ongoing process like video production, town hall, and training. Minimum Specifications are: Full complement of video input capabilities for audio and video inputs for S-Video(Y/C), Composite, and Digital (SDI), audio in Analog or Digital(AES/EBU) Outboard Broadcast Quality Specification Video Converters to provide analog Video source compatibility, Time Base Correction for analog tape player sources, and maximize quality retention throughout the conversion and encoding process. Ability to Encode DVD Compliant MPEG2 and Dolby Digital Audio directly from sources in real-time in preparation for use in your DVD authoring software. Real-time preview of output video streams when hardware encoding directly to MPEG2 Real-Time MPEG1 Encoding for VCD Applications. Support for Dolby 2 channel audio encoding. On-the-fly manipulation of video quality properties while hardware encoding directly to MPEG2. Complete remote VTR control from the computer for Betacam playback decks for frame-accurate encoding. MultipliCD/DVD software capable of recording and mastering to multiple DVD-R and CD-R drives simultaneously.
