- Description
- The U. S. Department of Education, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, intends to award a five-month non-competitive contract to NonPublic Educational Services, Inc., Salem, MA, to continue services to assure that eligible children attending private schools in the 17-19 bypassed LEAs in Virginia continue to receive equitable Title I services, pending the award of a new contract resulting from Solicitation No. RFP-ED-02-R-0017. The purpose is to provide opportunities for children served to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the State content standards and to meet the State performance standards developed for all children; to be accomplished through the provision of special educational services such as reading, math, and language arts and other benefits on an equitable basis to those provided to public school students in each bypassed LEA.
