Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Southern Micro Instruments, Marietta, GA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for component parts for an existing Nikon inverted fluorescence microscope. Parts must be compatible with existing Nikon equipment. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is interested in obtaining the following items. Catalog numbers are from Southern Micro Instruments. Quantity is one each for each item listed. 1) 41N45000 Image-Pro Plus v4.5; 2) Volume Scan, Microscope Automation Plug-in for Image Pro; 3) RET-M-12, Retiga 1300 Cooled Digital Camera; 4) IEEE-PCI, FireWire Interface Card; 5) 97071, 0.63 DXM Relay C-Mount Lens; 6) 99B510, BioPoint XY Stage and Controller for TE300 Inverted MIcroscope; 7) 73005056, Focus Drive Microstep w/Encode; 8) 99A400, Focus Drive Motor Assembly; 9) 73005080, Fil Wheel/Shutter Step Control; 10) 99A142, Single Filter Wheel 6 Pos 32mm; 11) 99A047, Filter Wheel Adapter f/Nikon; 12) 52004V2/32, Filter set for FITC/TRITC excitation and multiprobe emission - 484/15 ex, 555/25 ex; 13) 91001, QF Nikon Cube - 25MM. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Elaine Shoaf at the above address or email shoaf1@niehs.nih.gov for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Southern Micro Instruments.. The NAICS Code/Size is 333314/500 employees. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
