Description
The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit Request for Proposal/quote, and award a Firm-Fixed price, Sole Source contract to ISSCO Corporation, 149 Sullivan Lane, Westbury, NY 11590, Tel. No. (516) 334-1333. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this announcement is F333MS21550100, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334220, with a small business standard size of 750 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard, if you meet the Government requirements. The requirement is for Two Special Aerotronic Inspection Systems for A/F 37T-10 aircraft and engine test facility. Each system consists of the following: Four color camera systems, explosion proof, temperature and weather resistant, will not fog, and give clear images from 50' distance during high winds, extreme low, and high vibrations of running jet engines. Cameras will be remotely operated from two locations, zoom, pan, tilt, work in low lighting, give clear picture (example: drip of fuel or oil), from 50' of the aircraft or engine, one eighth inch in size. Four Heavy Duty Wall Mounts. Mounting for camera will need to be designed and manufactured for each A/F 37T-10 camera-mount location. Each mounting system of the camera will have different wind speeds and vibration loads. If the mounting system of the camera fails (cracks or breaks from wall) loss of life, damage to the aircraft, or test facility may possibly result. Four-Flat screen monitors, 15 inch, needed for lack of space on each safe viewing area. Four channel multiplexers to record images from all four cameras to one digital real time recording VCR. ALL ITEMS of the systems must be explosion proof, weather resistant, and operate in -50 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit temperature conditions. The system records and tracks basic engine information. Technical support will be needed. Require all wiring, cables, connections, and technical manuals. Battery back-up to keep system in operation during power failure. Inspection System must work safely with electronically actuated 120-volt Halon fire suppression system. The Special Aerotronic Inspection Systems will be delivered on an FOB Destination basis, not later than 14 October 2002, to Eglin AFB, Florida.
