- Description
- The Governments intends to replace the Johnson Controller located at Shemya Island, Alaska and used in the Cobra Dan Radar System. This controller monitors and controls the heating, ventilation and air-condition (HVAC), fire suppression, and auxiliary power subsystems for the building and 140 sensing points. The Johnson Controller allows switching between primary and secondary motors and pumps within the HVAC system by opening and closing valves and dampers throughout the building. The original controller is over 25 years old. Replacement circuit cards and contact points are not available. This PR will provide a new state of the art Controller Unit. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304?(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source TO: Berwick Electric Company, Colorado Springs CO. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
