Subject: Repair and Maintenance of Flir Milcam Cameras SOLNBR:5TC1502136 RESPDATE:July 16, 2002 Contact: POC Mark A Sojka (312)353-7735 Desc: GSA/FTS, Region 5 is announcing its intent to issue a procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302.3 for a sole source acquisition to International Microwave Corporation, 25 Van Zant St., Suite 11A, Norwalk, CT 06855. Products and services required for work to be accomplished are: Required repair parts and maintenance for existing night vision equipment that is already deployed and is in use at the Border Patrol field offices. Required parts are only available from International Microwave Corporation who is the maintenance provider of the night vision equipment, 28 Each of the Flir Milcam Cameras. This is a maintenance order for existing field damaged equipment, that requires fluid propellant and other maintenance. This requirement is identified by reference number 5TC1502136. NAICS Code 4214- (Professional and Commercial Equipment and Supplies Wholesale) applies. Size standard is 500+ employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals by the designated response date. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future, if another requirement arises.
