Description

The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, services, and facilities to provide an underwater towed vehicle with the capacity for carrying a large payload of oceanographic sensors and operating in either an undulating or fixed depth flight, and accepting flight instructions by direct commands under real time control. Underwater towed vehicle optimally should be capable of towed operations to at least two hundred (200) meters. Underwater towed vehicle desirable towed speeds should be capable of handling between four and ten knots. Underwater towed vehicle towing characteristics shall be included for evaluation. Towing specifications shall be provided as a Cartesian Chart depicting the vehicle's maximum designed towing speed (X-axis) spanning from the surface to the vehicles's designed maximum depth (Y-axis) with and without faired towing cable, if applicable. Installation/Sea trials and training to be conducted in Seattle, WA. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business.
