Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE LABORATORY B COMPLEX AT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE HEALTH, BETHESDA, MD CAMPUS. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) will be seeking a private party who will act as a Development Manager to provide all services for the proposed construction of a laboratory complex for NIH. The services will include, but not be limited to planning, programming, special studies, design, construction, community relations and overall coordination of all activities associated with the proposed project. The proposed project consists of approximately 150,000 gross square feet (gsf) bio-containment facility and 1250-car multi-level parking garage. The bio-containment facility will provide a focus for in-depth research and rapid response programs dealing with agents of new emerging and re-emerging disease at the national and international level and to further support the research programs in biodefense. Only the Developer will be selected initially under this solicitation. NIH will publish an announcement of its solicitation in the web sites FedBizOpps.gov and http://ccb.od.nih.gov.
