Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ #DAAE30-02-Q-0857. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (01-07). The US Army ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal has the following requirement: SCOPE/OBJECTIVE : To purchase three conditioning chambers for conducting aging studies and temperature conditioning of energetic thermoplastic elastomer (ETPE) based gun propellants prior to processing and finishing operations. REQUIREMENTS: Three conditioning chambers with the following specifications: Explosion Proof CFC free temperature chamber, includes motor(s) and any other electrical units (i.e. heaters, temperature sensors), Fluid pump, Fluid heater, Fluid expansion tank, Approximately 2” diameter accessory port, Refrigeration system for the air cooled condenser to eliminate the need for supplying water as a utility, 4”diameter exhaust connection, Temperature control unit, Purge system w/pressure indicator operating @approx. 90 psig and 10 scfm., Alarm panel, Chart temperature/time recorder, Foot print size: 48”W x 60” D x 78”H ( not to exceed these dimensions due to space limitations in building 427), Oven workspace opening size: 24” W x 24” D x 24” H (at a minimum), Temperature range: -40˚F to 250˚F, electrical power requirement is 208 single phase, 60 Hz, 50 – 75 Amp., Safety requirement is Class 1, Group D, and Class II, Groups E, F and G and Explosion relief cover, Delivery Requirements: The conditioning chamber is required to be delivered to Picatinny Arsenal NLT 15 September 02. EVALUATION CRITERIA: Lowest price technically acceptable.
