Description
This requirement was previously synopsized on June 4, 2002, Solicitation Number IBM02B0001. Firms that have requested a solicitation package need not submit an additional request. The International Boundary and Water Commission, United States Section (USIBWC), requires the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the construction of Erosion Protection Works for the Rincon Siphon. Location is immediately downstream of the New Mexico State Highway 140 and Santa Fe Railroad crossings of the Rio Grande just west of the town of Rincon, New Mexico, near the town of Hatch, approximately fifty (50) miles North of Las Cruces, New Mexico on Interstate 25. Construction requires sheet pile and riprap erosion control structure. The work includes the installation of a sheet pile cutoff walls, removal of existing riprap, and subsequent placement of new riprap and filter material. Installation of the sheet pile and riprap will require temporary diversion of surface water flows in the Rio Grande. The work under this contract, which is to be performed within the channel of the Rio Grande, shall be completed during the period November 1, 2002 to February 28, 2003, one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed, during which period minimal irrigation flows are conveyed in the Rio Grande. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Tentative dates for issuing and closing solicitation IBM02B0007 are July 11, 2002 and August 15, 2002, respectively. Plans and specifications will be available for inspection, without charge, at the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, The Commons, Building C, Suite 224, 4171 North Mesa, El Paso, Texas 79902-1441. Request for solicitations, specifications, and drawings should be submitted by FAX, e-mail, or in writing to the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, Attn: Irma Gurrola, at the preceding address. No telephone requests will be accepted. There will be no charge for the solicitation packet. Offers are solicited from all business concerns. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 234990 for All Other Heavy Construction. The associated size standard is 28.5 million dollars annual average gross receipts for the past three years. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held. Attendance is highly recommended but not mandatory.
