- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This is a 100 % Small Business Set-Aside and the NAICS Code is 611710. The purpose of the procurement is obtain services for the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities to provide capacity building training documents for health center staff and other community members who serve the health needs of AAPIs communities. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) are diverse groups that collectively comprise approximately 4.0% of the total population of the United States. The HRSA's BPHC plays an important role in addressing various primary health care needs of the AAPI community through its mission of increasing access to health care and eliminating disparities. The main purpose of this acquisition is to strength the capacity of AAPI communities to improve access to health care and eliminate health disparities. The contractor shall provide comprehensive capacity building trainings for community based and/or faith based organization that plan to provide health care services for AAPIs. The contractor shall perform four major tasks: (1) Program Manager, (2) Comprehensive AAPI Capacity Building Training, (3) Effective plan (4) Conduct Capacity Building Training. The period of performance is one year from date of award. The contractor must have previous experience in activities performed with or for organizations which provide primary health care and supportive services for AAPI populations. Solicitations will be issued on or about July 31, 2002. The closing date will be on August 12, 2002, at no later than 4:00 pm local prevailing time.
