Description

The Federal Correctional Institution, Victorville, Ca is seeking a accredited Community or Junior College, listed in the directory entitled Accredited Institutions of Higher Education, Western Association of Schools and Colleges to provide post secondary education services to the inmate population at FCI Victorville. All contractors staff assigned to provide instructional services as part of the contract must be appropriately licensed/certified and have at least two years teaching experience in a classroom setting. This will be for a firm fixed price Non-Personal Service Contract. The Contract will run from date of award through September 30, 2003. The contractor shall provide instruction to inmates in the following classes: 5 unit course in Automotive Automatic Transmission Overhaul. 5 unit course in Automotive Standard Transmission and Differential Overhaul. 4 unit course in Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Systems. 4 unit course in Aumotive Suspension and Alignment, and a 4 unit course in Automotive Electrical/Eclectronic System Repair. Credit for the above courses shall count as college credit hours. The contractor shall provide terminal Certificate of Completion, documenting the inmates specific proficiencies in the above subject for each inmate who completes all five courses. The contractor shall make arangements for the administration of all ASE certification exams within the secure confines of FCI Victorville, for each inmate who sucessfully completes any of the above classes. This solicitation will be available on or after August 2, 2002, and will be distributed soley through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http:/www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisitio, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed soley through this site. Interested parties responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All qualified sources are encouraged to submiit an offer which will be considered for award. The Estimate date for receipt of offers is September 3, 2002
