- Description
- Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace the existing heating and ventilation in the boathouse, at U.S. Coast Guard Station Bellingham, Bellingham, WA. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (a) Remove the existing two gas wall heaters, connected vents and gas pipes. Cap and terminate the gas stubs inside the wall; (b) Remove the gas infrared heater, connected thermostat, gas pipe, electrical power, and support frame. Cap and terminate the gas stubs inside the wall/mezzanine floor; (c) Disconnect and remove the existing exposed gas pipe downstream of the pressure-reducing valve, abandon the concealed gas pipe inside the boathouse in place; (d) Provide a new forced air heating system for the office and workshop area. It includes gas furnace, connected ductwork, vent, ceiling supply diffusers, return grilles and thermostat. Provide electric power and natural gas supply to the furnace and make it operational; (e) Provide new wooden enclosure for the furnace; (f) Provide new ceiling hung gas unit heater. Provide unit support from the ceiling, thermostat, vent through roof, electrical power and natural gas connection to the unit heater, and make it operational; (g) Provide new sidewall exhaust fan in the workshop. Provide electric power and make it operational; (h) Provide new, low sound, sidewall propeller fan. It includes wall mount housing, guard, and weather hood. Design and provide steel frame to support the fan unit. Provide electric power and make it operational; (i) Provide waterproof flashing and counter flashing at walls and roof openings required for the installation of drain, vents and sidewall propeller fan; (j) Provide new gas line from the pressure-reducing valve to the gas furnace and gas unit heater; (k) Repair and cover all the wall openings left after the removal of equipment to match the surrounding walls; and (l) Furnish the service s of a competent instructor to give full instruction to designated Government personnel in the adjustment, operation, and maintenance; including pertinent safety requirements, of the new heating and ventilation systems. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is open to both small and large business in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 235110. Size Standards is $11.5. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
