- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Victorville intends to award a non-personal services contract for Vocational Training Computer Aided Design and Drafting(VT AUTOCAD) Instructor. Duties will be performed in the education department at the Federal Correctional Institution Victorville. The contractor will conduct and provide instruction to inmates in the following classes: 3 unit course in Practical Business Math Procedures, 3 unit course in Machine Tool Tecnology, 3 unit course in Metal Trades Blueprint Reading, 3 unit course in Introduction to Mechanical Computer Aided Design/Drafting with AutoCAD, and a 3 unit course in Three Dimensional Mechanical Computer Aided Design/Drafting with AutoCAD All courses listed will count as college credit hours. A terminal Certificate of Completion, documenting the inmates specific proficiencies in the above subjects, is required for each inmate who completes all five courses. The Contractor must be a community or junior college, listed in the directory entitled Accreditted Institutions of Higher Education, Western Association of Schools and College. All contractor staff assigned to provide instructional services as part of this contract must have a Ba/BS degree and be qualified to teach AutoDesk's Architectural Desktop version 2.0. They must also have at least two years teaching experience in classroom setting. This solicitation will be available on or after August 2, 2002, and will be distributed soley through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http:/www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed soley through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up to dateinformation about this acquisition. All qualified sources are encouraged to submit an offer which will be considered for award. The estimate date for receipt of offer is September 3, 2002.
