- Modification: The purpose of this modification is to increase the quantity of this requirement from 71 to 123. Synopsis: This acquisition is for the purchase of 71 each Wiring Harness, part number 717513224-002, NSN 6150-01-391-1740AY and 124 each of part number 717513223-003, NSN 6150-01-468-38821AY. This acquisition is for USAF. This is applicable to the LANTIRN Program. The only known source for this purchase is Tri-Tech, cage code 25857. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). Justification: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services required are available from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The approximate issue date will be 15 days after posting with the approximate response date 30 days following. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
