- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ # DAAE 30-02-Q-0862. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (01-07). The US Army ARDEC , Picatinny Arsenal has the following requirement: SCOPE/OBJECTIVE: To purchase a Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) machine in support of the Armament Materials Team (AMT). This equipment is intended to provide AMT with thermal analysis capabilities for a variety of materials including, but not limited to, metals, ceramics, and polymers. REQUIREMENTS: One (1) Kit- Pyris 1 TGA LAB SYS 23, Part # N5370724 with the following specifications: Standard furnace operates from ambient to 1000*C. Internal furnace permits heating rates from 0.1* to 200*C/min. and platinum heater-sensor furnace element. Thermostate the balance chamber to a few hundredths of a degree to insure electrical and mechanical invariance. Temperature monitored by built-in jacketed chromel-alumel thermocouple. Iris controlling the aperture of the opening between the furnace chamber and the balance chamber, so the heat from the furnace and any decomposition products from the TGA analysis can be kept out of the balance chamber. A split furnace tube with a quick-connect feature. Microbalance with a maximum sensitivity of 0.1 ug with a balance accuracy of better than 0.1%. Sample capacity up to 50 pL. Operation in a static or dynamic atmosphere including, but not limited to oxygen, air, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide or other inert gases. Analysis to be made at normal or reduced pressure. Six status indicators which indicate at a glance the status of the TGA and may also be used for TGA diagnostics. Built in ?TAC? providing a constant real-time display, and intervention interface, and optional autosampler. DELIVERY: The Contractor shall deliver and begin installation of all equipment at Picatinny Arsenal within (8) weeks from the contract award date. Requirements for: Materials, Safety, Documentation and Software, Training, Installation, Final Acceptance, and Warranty will be given through E-Mail request. EVALUATION CRITERIA: Lowest price technically acceptable. Proposals are due by 1600 hours Aug. 02, 2002 and can be sent by facsimile, electronic mail or mailed to US Army TACOM-ARDEC, AMSTA-AQ-APH, Bldg. 9, Attn: Paul Fiorello, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received by 2 Aug. 2002 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
