Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations(RFQ) for constructing a cellular concrete block erosion control structure at Lacassine NWR, Lake Arthur, LA. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supplies necessary for the construction. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 234990. The size standard is $27.5 million. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about 7/31/02, with a 30 day closing date. Requests shall be in writing, stating RFQ number 401812Q202, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and phone/fax number. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is 9/20/02. Telephone request will not be accepted.
