- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a purchase order pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 to Epiance, located in Herndon, VA, for the acquisition of information technology, HR Connect Application Support, to include the Epiplex suite of software, Epiplex developer license, Epiplex Adapter, maintenance for one year, product implementation and integration services, and training of IRS staff on the use of the Epiplex software. The Government has determined that this acquisition meets the definition of commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 2.101. This acquisition will be conducted pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Vendors who can provide the required services at prices, terms and conditions equal to or better than those which can be provided by Epiance should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the requirement in its entirety. Telephonic and e-mail inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this notice must be received by this office no later than July 24, 2002, 2:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time. Responses shall be sent to: Internal Revenue Service, National Office Procurement, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Room 700, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, Attn: Margaret M. Hunt, Contracting Officer, A:P:I:E. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at (202)283-0610. These responses must arrive at the place and by the time specified in the synopsis and may not exceed ten pages. The Government will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of any facsimile transmission. If a response is received that meets the IRS' requirements and analysis of both technical and pricing documentation indicates that a competitive acquisition would be more advantageous to the Government, a formal solicitation may be issued. Currently, no solicitation document exists for this requirement, and requests for such will not be honored. The reference number for this announcement is M-2-M0-41-MF-A12-000. If no compelling responses are received, award will be made to Epiance.
