Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Optical Technology Division, has a requirement for a Retroreflection Goniometer and 30 Meter Rails. The purpose of this device is to test the retroreflectance properties of sheeting material used in traffic control signs, road stripes, and other road embedded reflectors. The device will be used as research equipment as well as a calibration device.***The period of performance shall be three (3) months from the date of award.***Delivery shall be FOB DESTINATION, Gaithersburg, MD.***This requirement is being procured using full & open competition.***The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees.***The competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), specifications, RFP amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPS.GOV/ under Request for Proposal number SB1341-02-R-0044.***The RFP is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about July 25, 2002, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site.***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract.***No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
