- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration plans to award a Purchase Order to TML Information Services, Incorporated to assist with the implementation of a program to provide the required registration and fuel tax credentials to Mexican carriers wishing to do business beyond the commercial zone in the United States. TML has a working relationship and understand the operation of all the entities involved. They have assisted the Mexican Secretaria de Communicaciones y Transportes with implementation of a motor carrier central registration system in Mexico City. They have a combination of technical knowledge needed in implementing an electronic exchange with Mexico and a rapport with Mexican agencies needed in establishing a cooperative data flow between US and Mexico. They have demonstrated their ability as cultural consultants and facilitators on technical subjects between Mexican and US officials. Because of TMLs knowledge and expertise in registration and fuel tax systems, they are the only known source available to meet the objectives in the short time frame. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 1, 2002.
