- SYNOPSIS: Contractor to furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace hangar doors at on Building 5, at US Coast Guard Aviation Training Center, 8501 Tanner Williams Road, Mobile, AL 36608, Mobile County. Contractor to furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace hangar doors on building 5. Work includes but is not limited to replacing two 6-bi-parting doors with new horizontal rolling doors, operating on existing steel sill track and top guide assemblies. Contractor is to demolish 4 sets of 3-leaf doors (two sets makes up one bi-parting door). Demolition and work to be phased such that one set of doors are fully functional prior to starting work on other door. The doors are to be disassembled and disposed of in dumpster supplied by the agency. Structural members of the doors contain lead based paint. New doors to operate via overhead bus bar. Door will be wired to circuit, supplied by contractor, independent on building electrical system. Structural design of doors to match existing. New doors to have appropriate safety features, such as light and horn, limit switches and safety edges, and incidental related work. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipts of $28.5M. Estimated construction price range is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Performance period is 150 calendar days. Hard copies with not be available. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. Therefore, all responsible sources, small, women-owned, disadvantaged, HUBZone, and large business concerns may submit a quote, which will be considered by this agency. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
