- Description
- US ARMY has a requirement to purchase Precision Imaging System for Non-contact Grain Dimension Measurement device. Non-contact, high precision measurement of propellant grain dimension is needed for propellant characterization. Accurate measurement of the web sizes, perforation diameters and length of the propellant samples is important as the grain dimension is one of the key parameters to control the ballistic performance of the propellant. High precision, high magnification, non-contact measuring system for gain dimension measurement and grain inspection. The 5E Micro Dynascope system from Vision engineering, New Milford, CT is the only system that can provide 3 dimensional measurement with accuracy within 2 microns. This measuring system is also integrated with a digital image capturing option and a computer for direct data collection for data analysis and computation. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
