Description
NA This proposed procurement is Unrestricted, SIC 1542 and the NAICS is 233320 with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Completion no later than 300 calendar days. Work includes the renovation of Building 21 at Fort McNair located in Washington, DC. Building 21 is a three-story administration building, with an attic and a basement. The project includes HVAC replacement, electrical system repairs and upgrades, sprinkler system, fire detection system, plumbing system modification and repairs to finishes. Work under this project also includes construction of a three-story addition, and includes the basement. The addition?s construction will be brick and concrete masonry. All responsi ble sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan. The subcontracting goal for this project is 60% for small businesses. The percentage goals apply to the total contr act dollar amount being subcontracted. Of the 60% goal 15% is for small disadvantaged businesses, 8% is for women owned small businesses, 3% is for HUB Zone Small Businesses, 3% is for Small Disable Veteran Owned Businesses, and 3% is for Veteran Owned Sm all Businesses. The subcontracting plan must be submitted at bid opening. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial registration date expired 31 May 1998. I t is imperative that all small disadvantaged business contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is th e Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI.
