Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to negotiate with Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Inc. 5190 Neil Road, Suite 210, Reno, NV 89502 on an other than full and open competition basis, using FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, for Airborne GPS (AGPS) controlled color aerial photographic services. These services include high-resolution, ortho-rectified, stereo-analysis compatible, color digital imagery and a high-resolution digital terrain model (DTM) for use in on-going Navy neotectonic studies. These products must be compatible with existing Coso production area imagery and DTM acquired in the year 2000 from Kennedy/Jenks, in order that the two will provide both seamless temporal and geographic coverages of the Coso geothermal region. The area to be covered by the aerial photography is approximately 457 square miles of the northern Coso Mountain Range, including approximately 216 square miles of the northwest portion of the North Range, NAWS, China Lake, as well as 79 square miles of the Coso Range Wilderness area and all of the Coso geothermal field, Coso Hot Springs and nearby thermal areas. These services are estimated to take approximately 5 months to complete. A complete Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided and released, with the Request For Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be released on or about 12 August 2002 and close 10 days thereafter. The RFP will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency homepage at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. Responsible firms other than Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Inc, believing they can provide the above effort should submit a written response to Commander, Code 220000D, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Attn: Linda Sapp, N68936-02-R-0089, China Lake, CA 93555-6100 no later than 15 days from the date of this synopsis, addressing their experience and how they could satisfy the Government's requirement for Airborne GPS (AGPS) controlled color aerial photographic services, along with any other information considered pertinent to the requirement. Address any questions to Linda Sapp at above address or call 760/ 939-4280; or e-mail sapplk@navair.navy.mil;
