Description

This Request for Information is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids or Request for Proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to either procure any services or pay for the information received. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management plans to image, index, capture, and store data from approximately 48 million documents. These documents range in age from a few days to more than 80 years old. Consequently, the conditions and characteristics of each document vary widely. Each set of documents pertaining to a specific employee consists of one or more pages of paper stapled together (potentially multiple times). We are also interested in knowing what the capability of the small business community is for performing work of this type. The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 514210, and the definition of a small business is a firm that has had $21 million or less in average annual receipts over the company's prior three fiscal years.
