Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) and is unrestricted. The RFQ number is DTCG80-02-Q-3FAL97. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336399, and the size standard is 750 employees. The requirement is for two (2) Twin Disk Inc. MG5202 Marine Gear, Vertical Offset, 3.48:1 Ration, SAE#1 HSG, Torsional Coupling, Mechanical Control Valve. Two (2) Part Number 1015378- Companion Flange w/bolts. Two (2) Part Number 1016428Z- Mounting brackets Delivery shall be FOB destination, delivery shall benot later than 31 October 2002, to the Coast Guard MAT ST Louis, 1230 1st. Street, Suite C, Granite City, IL 6204-0000. The contractor shall extend to the government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the government. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order. Quotes shall address all requirements in this combined synopsis/solicitation, and shall provide clear evidence of understanding and the ability and willingness to comply with the Government's requirement. Failure to address a specification/requirement will be construed by the Government as inability to meet the need, or the offeror's taking exception to it. The Government anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this synopsis/solicitation will offer the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-2-Evaluation of quotations or offers. Award will be made based on vendors' (A) Technical Capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirements; (B) Past Performance, and (C) Price. The Government reserves the right to award a purchase order without discussions. All interested, responsible firms should submit their quotation no later than August 1, 2002, 12:00 p.m. EDT, to U.S. Coast Guard, MLCLANT (vpl-4), 300 E. Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102, ATTN: Douglas G. Landau. Facsimile copies will be accepted at (757)628-4676. All vendors are to include with their quotes, a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, which may be downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov.
