- Description
- The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to construct a 2,800 SF +/- Greenhouse addition at the Plant Soil & Nutrition Lab Facility in Ithaca New York. The bidding package will be structured with a Base Bid requirement for removal of existing paving, site regrading, paving, underground piping, cast in place concrete placement, packaged greenhouse erection, HVAC system installation, associated mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, and building automated controls work to create a new greenhouse with five compartments and a full basement. Bid Option #1 includes the upgrade of existing electric service including replacement of a transformer and associated cabling. Bid Option #2 includes the installation of power distribution and lighting in the basement. Bid Option #3 includes provisions to split three of the base bid compartments into six with all necessary independent utilities. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This project must be completed within 120 days after receipt of notice to proceed.
