Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to procure the renovation of the HVAC system at the Southeast Fisheries Science Center, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Panama City Laboratory at Panama City, Florida. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment and each and every item of expense for the installation of a new central HVAC system and related equipment accessories, appurtances and materials. In addition to the base bid of the renovation of the HVAC system, there are optional items. The optional items are: (1) Adding a new standalone freezer unit in the former wet lab area with all drain connections, electrical connections, etc.; (2) Retrofit of facility lighting system; (3) Removal and replacement (with new) of existing facility main panel; (4) Installation of back-up air cooled chiller, piping and related accessories; (5) Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system upgrade to Direct Digital Control (DDC) with energy management system capabilities; (6) Painting all remaining interior walls, door frames, etc.; and (7) Add VAV boxes for terminal reheat units on HVAC system. The size of project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 233320 and the small business size standard is a maximum of $28,500,000 average annual receipts. The completion time for this project is 180 calendar days. It is anticipated that the specifications and bid package will be available on or about August 5, 2002. Bids are estimated to be due on September 5, 2002. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. Copies of the specifications and bid documents are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
