Description

The Federal Correctional Institution FCC Petersburg Medium (PEM) is seeking a Protestant Music Director to provide Non-Personal services for the inmate population during Protestant Christian services on Sundays from 1:30PM to 3:30 PM each Sunday. The Contractor shall provide 2 ea 1 hour sessions each Sunday (with a session defined as 1 hour in duration), and also provide 1 ea 1 hour session weekly for practice. This works out to be 104 sessions on Sunday and 52 sessions for week day sessions. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor must have a graduate degree in Choral Conducting from an accredited college or university. The Contractor shall provide a copy of the degree with their bid. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Contractor may substitute the following for this requirement: Have four (4) years experience in any of the following vocations involved in many aspects of the music ministry: organist, pianist, choral conductor, teacher and church musician. Or four (4) years experience in preparing and conducting choral groups (i.e. folk group, traditional choirs, cantering, weddings and funerals), performing a capella and accompanied songs and larger works of all periods and styles. The Contractor shall submit documentation, certificate of training, degree, resume and copy of insurance with their bid. Failure to submit the required paperwork could result in your bid being non-responsive and not eligible for award of the contract. The solicitation is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2002 with all bids due back by September 5, 2002.
