Description

LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA. Douglas Environmental Education Center, 100 N. Lake St, Gary, IN 46402. Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials to improve the Douglas Center Exterior Fire Suppression System. Project consists of replacing and extending an existing 6" fire suppression main and a fire hydrant with a new 12" main and fire hydrant. Pipe shall be installed by horizontal directional drilling. Work shall include but is not limited to: horizontal directional drilling of approximately 375 feet of 12" polyethylene pipe and two 6" tie-in stubs, upgrading fittings in an existing concrete valve box, placement of a dry barrel fire hydrant and it's appurtenances, tying the new fire hydrant into the 12" main, and removal of an existing fire hydrant and timber retaining wall.
