Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking concerns from contractors that can provide waste disposal services for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Cumberland, located at 14601 Burbridge Road, SE, Cumberland, MD 21502. This is a firm-fixed unit price, requirements type contract with a one year base period and four one year options renewal. The requirement shall include disposal services of : one 30 yard, self-contained compactor with a self-sealing rear door, at the FPC with a pick up schedule of one every other week (26 pulls); and one 30 yard, self-contained compactor with a self-sealing rear door, at the FCI with a pick up schedule of two per week (104 pulls). Service shall include transportation of compactors and containers to and from the disposal area, and must be new or like new condition to handle and contain all types of waste. Maintenance to all equipment shall be conducted within 24 hours following notification. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestrictive basis, open to both Small and Large businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621910. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates posting the solicitation in the government electronic point of entry, Federal Opportunities (FedBizOps) website (www.fedbizops.gov) on or about April 8, 2002. The site provides downloading instruction. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available.
