Description
Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13, Subpart 13.106-1(b), the U.S. Department of the Interior, BIA, Office of Indian Education Programs (OIEP) intends to contract on a sole source basis the services of Engage Learning; 2780 Maitland Dr., Ann Arbor, MI to provide Family and Child Education (FACE) K-3 Teacher Implementation Training; and to conduct on site visits to support teachers in the child centered active learning approach. Engage Learning will extend the child centered active learning approach through grade three with training designed to address the very specific knowledge and skill required to implement a child centered active learning approach for children ages 6-8. Engage Learning consultants have been working with the FACE model for five plus years and have a thorough working knowledge of the model, the school program, and the current level of expertise of each K-3 classroom teacher implementing this model. All Engage Learning trainers are required to have a Masters Degree in Education with a minimum of five years of teaching experience. Engage Learning has the expertise and knowledge of the FACE K-3 component to train teachers in the FACE required child centered active learning approach which is specified in the FACE program guidelines. The Engage Learning trainers have the established history and knowledge of the FACE model and K-3 components at national trainings and onsite at Bureau funded schools. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written response is received within 5 calendar days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to the proposed contractor without further notice.
