- Description
- Sources sought to provide research biologist services for the National Marine Mammal Lab (NMML) in Seattle, WA. Contractor will study pinniped predation on endangered salmonids and California sea lion cancer studies. Contractor will assist in field and laboratory studies related to California sea lions. Work will include surveys and census of pinnipeds and other marine mammals in coastal and river systems of Oregon and Washington. The contractor will be responsible for m maintaining field equipment including vessels, operate various kinds of boats including skiffs/small craft. Contractor will also in the lab with processing and analysis of food habit samples to assess marine mammal diet. Contracted individual must possess a 4-year degree program in Wildlife Biology, Fisheries, Zoology, Biology, Animal Ecology, or other natural science. Period of performance will be for approximately one year, based in Seattle, WA with field work as stated above. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
