Description

NA With this announcement, the Corps of Engineers-Chicago District issues Amendment #1 to its Pre-solicitation Notice for the implementation of 155 acres of ecosystem restoration project in Northwest Indiana. This amendment first corrects the Solicitation Num ber from DACA23-02-B-0002 to DACW23-02-B-0002 (See http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/ebs). Secondly, this amendment extends the solicitation issuance and response date to 31 July 2002 and 3 September 2002, respectively. Lastly, this amendment adds the following information to the synopsis description: ?If a large business is selected for the contract award, it must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9, ?Small Business Subcontracting Plan.? In accordance with this particular FAR Clause, the contractor (large business) must submit a plan for the work that it intends to subcontract. The subcontracting goals that must be included in the Small Business Subcontracting Plan, as required by the Chicago District are: (1) at least 61.4% to small businesses; (2) at least 3.0% to service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; (3) at least 2.5% to HUBZone small businesses; (4) at least 9.1% to disadvantaged small businesses; (5) at least 5% to woman-owned small businesses.?
