Description

The Architect of the Capitol is seeking all qualified contractors who are interested in submitting an offer for this construction project. The primary work includes, but is not limited to, providing all plant, labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide services for specialty fabrication and construction installation of various Wayfinding signs and American Disability Act (ADA) Signage. The base line item will consist of fabricating and installing the signs as identified in the drawings and specifications. The contractor is to provide all materials and labor required for site coordination, to include the excavation of existing sidewalks and steps, preparation & installation of concrete forms and engineered concrete foundation below granite bases. Construction installation also includes attachment of signs to different building elevation materials such as granite, concrete, marble, stone and wood. Care needs to be given so as not to damage existing building's finishes. Location for the base line item work is the U.S. House Buildings consisting of the Rayburn, Longworth, and Cannon. This contract may result with four Alternate line items and two Options. Magnitude of this years's base construction project ranges between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation package will be available after July 29, 2002.
