- Description
- The Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals to secure services for the supply and application of fertilizer to 1073 acres of forested units on National Forest Lands. Due to the severity of the current fire season, funding for this project is not presently available. The Forest Service anticipates receiving additional funding before the end of the current fiscal year (9/30/02), and this announcement is issued based on this assumption. A solicitation shall be issued before funding is available, however, award of this project is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. The project is located on the Grindstone Ranger District. Work is expected to begin approximately September 10. A pre-quote tour is scheduled for August 21, see solicitation for time and meeting place. The project is set-aside for HUBZone certified contractors, the NAICS code is 115310. The Government will award the contract to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government based on the merits of the offer, the capability of the offeror and price. Solicitation documents will be available at this FedBizOpps website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) on approximately August 7. The closing date for receipt of proposals is approximately close of business of September 6.
