- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, South Carolina, is soliciting quotations for a service contract for the provision of (40) pagers along with a maintenance agreement for these pagers. The contract time period will include a base year not to exceed (12) months with the possibility of four one-year option periods. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract with an estimated award date of October 1, 2002. We are soliciting for (40) pagers on a leasing agreement. We will be issuing (39) of these pagers to staff here at the institution and (6) would be held as spares to be issued if something were to go wrong with any of the other (39). Please provide us with the flat rate of all costs that would be inclusive in a monthly lease (leasing costs, loss protection fee, any mandatory FCC charges, etc.)for each pager. These costs should include any leasing costs we will be required to pay. Also, please confirm the maintenance agreement will include all repairs and what other items would be included with the maintenance agreement such as batteries, etc. Please confirm this in your bid. Along with a bid on the actual pager maintenance, we are requesting pagers that will receive outside pages only. We are not needing any pagers that receive the news updates, or anything with those type features. Please state in your quotation what your system is for repairs and your turn around time for repairs. Please also state if a pager is damaged beyond repair, what costs would we be required to pay. As for invoicing, each department will be financing their own costs; therefore, several invoices will need to be received from the company that receives the award identifying the department it is billing for and the prior month's services. The solicitation will be available on or after August 7, 2002, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The estimated due date for receipt of quotations will be August 31, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Quotations will be mailed to Dana Johnson, Supervisory Contract Specialist, Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, 501 Gary Hill Road, Edgefield, South Carolina 29824. Hard copies of the solicitation document will only be available to vendors who do not have Internet access. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely though this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. No telephone requests will be requested.
